Special Event: Qualifying Race at Watkins Glen
This season’s special event celebrates the series 5th anniversary! Our first points race was on February 1, 2021. This event features a non-points-paying qualifying race that sets the grid for a normal 45 minute endurance race. The grid for the qualifying race itself will be set by a 13-car class invert based on current standings.

Gamma: Pro-Am Class Introduced
For the first time since ATC5 when the delta class was created, we will see the addition of a new racing class in the series! The gamma class will sit neatly between alphas and deltas, providing a fertile ground for pro-am drivers to hone their craft before graduating to the highest class.

Paul Walsh Returns to Broadcast ATC16
The man who presided over the broadcasts from ATC5 through ATC7, Paul Walsh has agreed to return to broadcast ATC16! Paul is a frequent commentator for GT7; Assetto Corsa Competizione and iRacing, where you may have seen him commentating over NXTGEN Racing and UKSimRacing events. Welcome back Paul!

Rulebook Overhauled
Continuing work that was started last season, the rulebook has seen several more editing passes, removing fluff and expanding on less-defined rules and grey areas.

The maximum iRating for rookie gamma drivers has been established at 4500, and rules regarding the new class have been added. The rules for promotion and demotion between the classes have been made even clearer. The penalty point limit has been increased from 9 to 11 to allow stewards more flexibility in handing out penalties. Slowdown rules have been re-written for better clarity.

Off-Season Exhibition: Off-Road Expedition (Dec 8, 2025)
In this off-season’s special exhibition event, the stewards are looking the other way. Track limits are a mere suggestion. Black flags will be cleared. We’re driving off-road trucks, but it looks like the circuit accidentally scheduled a touring car race at the same time. Good luck!
