In the early days of the series, there were not enough drivers to fully support a team championship. The first earnest effort at one began in Season 3, but was quickly abandoned. Season 4 saw the first widespread adoption of and engagement with the team championship, and it quickly spiraled into silly seasons, elaborate announcements and graphic design, and now even a Delta team championship.
Let’s look back on some of the most memorable team-related pieces of content that have emerged from the series.
Season 4
In the pre-season, one of the series’ most iconic teams was born. Beaver Buzz and its livery were announced by Jerome Bajulaz on March 13th.

Season 6
The weeks leading up to Season 6 were when the first real in-depth pieces of content began to emerge. The first arguably being Logan McKinzie’s announcement that Yellow Flag Motorsports would be signing Season 5’s inaugural Delta champion Connor Accettella. Team photos for YFM were provided as well. Shortly afterward, Breakfast 4 Dinner would announce the signing of Jacob Whalley along with a team portrait and a team poster for Season 6.

Season 7
After the conclusion of Season 6, things kicked into overdrive. Six days before the season opener, Daniel Cedeno would announce the transformation of Haas Holes Motorsport into B&H Racing with a full press release. Four days later, Justin T Rhodes would reveal B4D’s new ‘menu’, with a fully customized Waffle House menu to announce their driver roster for the season, and the creation of Second Breakfast, the first sister team in series history. A brand new super-team would emerge around this time, made up of incredible talents and series veterans: Shink, Hendricks, Rzepka, Darnell. Team member Francois Shink would share the team’s now-iconic livery for the first time on February 24th. Later that week, multiple ‘tweets’ would hint at YFM’s rebrand and plans for the season before revealing Eric Statzer’s signing in a press release.

Season 8
The pre-season began with ‘spy shots’ being released of YFM’s new challenger, and was escalated with a press release from B4D announcing the signing of Jon Lauzon.

Season 9
Press releases continued to be a popular way to make team announcements, with both YFM and CYEA making pre-season signings, while B4D shuffled around its existing roster with another well-done announcement. Newcomers SIR and Pelican Racing Team made clear their intention to compete in the series with a set of their own releases.

Season 10
Slightly subdued compared to previous seasons, but still featuring plenty of content. YFM announced the creation of the series’ second sister team Double Yellow. The brand new 4-car CPR outfit released a series of announcements and eventually expanded into a two team operation. SRG announced major expansion and mysterious news releases surrounded Daniel Cedeno’s independent team.

The Future
We’ve run out of content, but perhaps we’ll revisit this topic in the future. If there is any historic team content that you think was left out of this article in error, let me know!

Good read, hoping Walk Racing Esports will join the history books.
