For the first time in series history, the Alpha Touring Challenge is featuring a special event outside of the usually Sprint and Alpha Challenge formats.
The 1.2 Hours of Sebring is designed to mirror the 12 Hours of Sebring, and will have a few key differences from the usual hour long Alpha Challenges. The event will run for 1.2 hours(72 minutes), and fuel limits will require two pit stops as opposed to the usual single stop in Alpha Challenges. Additionally, time progression will be used to simulate the full twelve hours, with the race starting in the evening and ending in the morning at sunrise.
Drivers will have to deal with the changing temperatures and conditions that come with going from evening to morning in one race, all while implementing a winning two-stop strategy.
The 1.2 Hours of Sebring takes place on March 21st as the second event of Season 4.
